Am I allergic to non-vegetarian food?

Q: I am a 23 years old male allergic to non-vegetarian food. I develop red spots on the skin after a few weeks of having chicken or egg. Is it allergy or something else?

A:Allergies to foods generally start within an hour or so, or a day or two in other cases. I don't know any food allergy that takes weeks to develop.
