Q. I am a 32 years old man having cervical C5-C6 slip disc. I am under treatment for the same for the last 5-6 months. The treatment involves certain exercises and medication- Elebcom plus tab. I am recovering well. Recently, the doctor has suggested to take Neurobion Forte tabs for a month. What is its use? Is this tablet banned?

A.  Neurobion contains small quantities of vitamins B-1, B-2, B-6 and B-12. Earlier it was thought to help in nerve disorders but later it was found to be of no use. Hence products containing such vitamins were banned in the western countries. Unfortunately due to lax laws with loopholes, the product is still available in India.
