The child who was born prematurely on July 8, developed complications and was put on ventilator support just two days after birth. The child was declared brain dead later on July 12.
The child's uncle motivated her parents to donate the her organs. After the family gave their consent, the Mohan Foundation, an NGO, got involved and the baby was shifted to Innova Hospital in Secunderabad.
The baby's heart valves and eyes were retrieved under sterile conditions.
NGO's CEO said such neonatal donors give a fresh lease of life to many unfortunate children who are born with heart diseases.
