A:Statins can be taken at any time. Rosuvastatin has some serious problems, particularly in Asians where the risk of muscle injury, that can be fatal, is higher compared to other statins such as atorvastatin (Atorva). Besides for lowering triglycerides, it is preferable to use a fibrate such as fenofibrate, bezafibrate etc.
