Is burning sensation while urinating due to internal injury?

Q: I am a 21 years old man has been suffering from stomach pain and burning sensation while urinating for the past four days. I consulted a doctor who gave me medicines following which the stomach pain got relieved but there is no improvement in the burning sensation. Now the doctor has prescribed medicines for the burning sensation and told me that if it persists after the medication, then I would need a scan. What causes burning sensation while urinating? How can it be treated? Is burning sensation due to internal injury? The doctor told me that there might be a possibility of stones.

A:Abdominal pain associated with discomfort / pain while passing urine signifies infection in the urinary tract and needs investigation, the most direct one being urine culture for bacteria to test for bacteria responsible for the infection so that appropriate antibiotic can be used to get rid of the symptom. I suggest you consult your doctor for this.
