Dr D Balakrishnan BSc, MBBS, MS, DLO, is an ENT surgeon. At present, he is a professor in Govt. Stanley Medical College, Chennai. He founded the Association of Paediatric Otolaryngologists of India (APOI) and is currently it's Honorary Secretary. His special interests are in Sleep and Snoring. He is a research scholar in the Tamil Nadu Medical University on upper airway obstruction and snoring. He consults in the Childs Trust Hospital and in his own clinic in Adyar. With three decades of experience in ENT, he has cultivated a flair for scientific writing and presents difficult subjects in a lucid style.
