Dr Smita Deshpande is a Senior Specialist Psychiatrist and Head, Dept. of Psychiatry and De-Addiction at the Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, New Delhi.
She did her MBBS from the Medical College, Nagpur University and then her DPM from Grant Medical College, Bombay University followed by MD from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi.

She was also the first invited Honorary Member of Shree Sai Manavotthan Sanstha, a non governmental, non profit organisation formed for the care of the indigent mentally ill.
