Arpita Anand is a Consultant Psychologist currently practising in New Delhi, India. Having graduated with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Psychology from the Delhi University, Arpita moved to London to pursue specialized training. During her time there she completed another Master's programme and worked with a mental health organisation. Arpita then decided to return to Delhi to pursue her professional goals. It was at this time that she began working extensively in the mental health field through her association with a Delhi-based organisation.

Arpita then decided to train further and took up an offer to work at the prestigious Bellevue Hospital in New York, USA. She returned to India in 2000 and joined Max Healthcare, Escorts Heart Institute and Sama Nursing Home in the capacity of a Consultant Psychologist. She has now moved in to private practice and consults out of a clinic in Panchsheel Park in South Delhi.

Arpita specialises in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and works with adolescents and adults. The range of issues include psychiatric conditions like depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders, phobias on one end and psycho-social issues like work stress, self-esteem problems, anger and stress management on the other. A significant focus of her work now is on relationship counselling which includes helping couples and families address difficulties and learn new and effective ways of communication.

Additionally, Arpita conducts training workshops on a range of issues that include stress management, sensitivity training and counseling skills. She has worked extensively with corporates to assess their needs and develop training programmes to meet these needs.
