Has been the Head of the Radiation Therapy Oncology department of the Tata Memorial Hospital since 1981. Innovated the first Brachytherapy applications in India at the Tata Memorial Hospital. The Radiation therapy department is considered one of the best anywhere and has the latest state-of-the-art equipment.
Particular specialisation in cancers of the cervix, breast, head and neck, oesophagus, lymphomas and relevant brachytherapy applications.
Is a member of the Government of India, National Board of Examinations, New Delhi since January 1997 and is a Professor and Examiner for the MD (Radiotherapy)Examinations conducted by the University of Bombay.
