  • Has been the Head of the Radiation Therapy Oncology department of the Tata Memorial Hospital since 1981.
  • Innovated the first Brachytherapy applications in India at the Tata Memorial Hospital. The Radiation therapy department is considered one of the best anywhere and has the latest state-of-the-art equipment.
  • Particular specialisation in cancers of the cervix, breast, head and neck, oesophagus, lymphomas and relevant brachytherapy applications.
  • Is a member of the Government of India, National Board of Examinations, New Delhi since January 1997 and is a Professor and Examiner for the MD (Radiotherapy)Examinations conducted by the University of Bombay.
