Eat right

Add foods like carrots, apricots, spinach and blueberries to your diet. These are the foods that are rich in beta-carotene and hence are good for your eyes.

Blink more often 

Blinking eyes is the natural way to restore moisture to the eyes. Every blink of the eye brings nutrients to its surface structure. One should keep blinking on a constant basis.

Get some sunshine

Grabbing some morning or late evening sunshine will thereby help to improve the eyes and pupils, by loosening the tight nerve muscles.

The cucumber trick 

"Putting cold cucumber slices gently against eyelids for around 10 minutes helps to keep the eyes relaxed and soothed. It may help prevent water retention and inflammation," explains Agarwal

The 20/20/20 rule

Take 20 seconds to look at something 20 feet away every 20 minutes. This 20-20-20 rule is a best line in defence for the repetitive computer work and screen.

Wash frequently 

Splashing your eyes with water helps to relieve your eyes from excessive stress and make them fresh and healthy for good vision. Make this a daily habit.

Exercise your eye

Place your hands together, palm-to-palm and rub them to create heat, and then place them against your eyes for five seconds. It is a great method to warm and relax your eyes.

Avoid smoking

Smoking is bad for your eyes as for your health. It increases the risk of cataract and damage of optic nerves later in life. So, try quitting smoking.

Get enough sleep 

Getting enough sleep is essential for eye health. Sleep enables your eyes to fully rest, repair, and recover. Insufficient sleep may weaken your vision.
