Being overweight can increase arthritis complications. Make permanent lifestyle changes to lose weight and maintain it.

Smoking can stress connective tissues and worsen arthritis pain. Quit smoking to treat arthritis quickly and effectively.

Consult a physiotherapist. You need to do exercises that build muscles around joints and not those that damage them.
