As the air quality has worsened over the past few weeks, many are dealing with eye-related issues these days. To safeguard your eyes when air quality is poor, here are some tips that might help.

Wear sunglasses

You must always wear sunglasses when travelling. It will protect your eyes from the pollutants as well as the UV rays.

Do not rub

When exposed to polluted air, you may experience some discomfort in your eyes. You should not rub your eyes in such a situation. Rubbing your eyes can aggravate irritation and may lead to burning sensation.

Use eye drops

The cornea in the eyes is protected from dryness, itching, infectious bacteria and harmful pollutants by a layer of moisture. To maintain moisture in your eyes, use eye drops on a regular basis.

Wash with water

Washing your eyes frequently with water can help you get rid of itching and burning sensation due to air pollution. It will also remove dust particles from the eyes
