Exercises that help tone and sculpt the chest can make you stronger, give a better posture and look your best. Working out the chest means working out the pectoral muscles.

If you're a beginner, follow your trainer. Start with a lower weight to reduce risk of injury. You should be able to pick up the weight without too much strain.

Position yourself on the bench with feet firm on the ground and back flat. Grasp the barbell with thumbs wrapped around the bar and position it over the chin or upper chest, keeping elbows and wrists straight.

This is a classic exercise that helps lose chest fat. While performing this exercise, make sure that you move the dumbbells slowly in order to feel the stretch. 

Dumbbell pullover

Sit on the bench with knees bent slightly and feet on the floor. Hold the dumbbells and exhale as you push them away and keep elbows slightly bent. As you inhale, pull the bars towards you slowly.
