Teeth surgery

Q: Few days back I had undergone minor dental surgery i.e L8 tooth is removed because there was no place to accommodate the tooth. Ten days have passed still I have the swelling. My left ear and my upper and lower front teeth are painful too. Please advice me some medicines to overcome these problems

A:After surgery if there is swelling and pain, antibiotics, antiinflammatory medicines are needed. Ear ache could be a referred pain because of this. Lower front teeth may pain as a result of referred pain of the trigeminal nerve but there is no harm in getting them checked to see if they are normal. Once you take the medicines the problem should settle down.
