Cold and throat pain
Q: Since morning I am having slight cold, my throat is paining I have slight body ache. I am not feeling very energetic. Do I have symptoms of viral fever. I have no fever till now. What medication should I start?
A:This sounds like a typical mild upper respiratory problem, most likely a viral syndrome. These are usually self limited to between 2 to 5 days. The best treatment is to increase your fluid intake (tea/water) and if you are really troubled by aches and pains, a mild analgesic like acetominophen (over the counter) will help. If you develop a high fever or other unusual symptoms seek medical attention.
