Adoption

Q: I have adopted a son with proper legal procedure. I need help since the lady who claims him as her son, works in their institution, and one of the staff declared it. Please do advise me how to tackle this situation.

A:The position of law in the matter is that once an adoption in confirmity with legal procedure takes place the adopted child for all intends and purposes becomes the child for all intends and purposes becomes the child of the adoptive family. All relationship with the natal family are severed. This legal principle is prompted by the need to provide emotional stability and sense of identity to a child otherwise the child would be reduced toa foot ball between the natal and the adoptive family. In order to ensure that the natal family does not make demands of this nature. Subsequently it is found necessary that extensive counselling should happen before adoption.
