Ms Puja Gandhi (nee Kapur) topped her Masters in Foods and Nutrition (specialisation in Therapeutic Nutrition and Institutional Food Administration) from Delhi University. Her research dissertation was on 'Childhood Obesity: Development and Assessment of an Information, Education and Communication (IEC) Package for Parents'. She did her dietetic internship at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). Ms. Gandhi was the Senior Research Fellow for the project 'Lipid profile, blood glucose and insulin levels of adolescents belonging to affluent families' undertaken in collaboration with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Institute of Home Economics (IHE). The study aimed to assess cardiovascular risk factors amongst 773 school going adolescents as an early screening strategy for Heart Disease/Diabetes. She was also the Nutrition Consultant for Dumex (manufacturer of health drink Proteinex).
Ms Gandhi has been actively involved in research on childhood obesity, pediatric nutrition and cardiovascular risk factors, which has been accepted for presentation at national and international conferences and abstracts published therein. She has conducted many lecture sessions with school children and adolescents for disseminating knowledge pertaining to important facets of diet, nutrition and healthy lifestyle practices and has expertise in pediatric diet counseling. Ms Gandhi has also co-authored the book 'Obesity' for the Voluntary Health Association of India (VHAI) as part of their Healthwise Series. She also writes nutrition articles for the American website Dieticiancental.com. Presently, she is a nutrition consultant in Dubai.

- Nominated for the Young Scientists’ Award at the 89th session of the Indian Science Congress Association
- Elected as the President and Secretary of the Nutrition Club at the Institute of Home Economics (Delhi university)
- Awarded second prize in poster making competition organized by Maulana Azad Medical College
