Do our taxes not already pay for this?? why should we have to pay more for something that we should expect to be happening at the moment? surely a reduction in military funding would provide more than enough surplus funds to not only improve health care for us but also for many countries throughout the world!

It is the duty of the government to prove the public that the tax money collected is spent effectively. Once people are convinced I think every one will be happy to contribute.

why should taxes be levied? the govt is being run inefficiently. because of corruption! and no accountability! END CORRUPTION. MAKE ACCOUNTABILITY. country needs a strong leader to end corruption. is there is no one to bell the (corruption) cat??? INSTEAD OF TAXES IN THE INCOME TAX RETURN A SPECIAL REALISTIC CLAUSE TO BE MADE TO 1. TAX FREE MEDICLAIM OF 20K/YR/FAMILY MEMER 2. TAX FREE INSURANCE OF 300K/YR/FAMILY MEMBER 3. INSURANCE, MEDICAL,PENSION NOT TO BE PART OF 80C 4. TAX FREE PENSION SCHEME 0F 100K/YR 4. 80C ONLY TO BE FOR INVESTMENT 100K/YR this way an average citizen can atleast plan his welfare (medical + old age / medical) without suffering from govt efficiency.
