According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), India has an estimated 15-20 million people suffering from asthma - a chronic respiratory disorder caused due to inflammation of the airways in lungs. Asthma attacks all age groups but often starts in childhood. It is a disease characterized by recurrent attacks of breathlessness and wheezing, which vary in severity and frequency from person to person. Allergies are one of the most common cause.
