Are my eyes allergic to sunlight?

Q: I have a problem with my eyes. My eyes are allergic to sunlight. Earlier, I was having redness in the eyes only during the day. But now this problem is increasing day by day and now my eyes are red even early mornings. I have consulted a doctor and he prescribed me some drops called Oclust but all in vain. Kindly suggest what to do?

A:Ocular allergies are a recurrent problem depending on the allergen. Chronic medication is therefore required depending on the severity. You will have to consult your local eye specialist for that. Avoid using corticosteroid eye drops as they can have quick relief but also have a risk of developing glaucoma.
