Q: I have been was taking Pantodac for over 2 years now for treating gastritis. My doctor recently changed this to Panpure. I would like to know, which drug is more effective between Pantodac and Panpure?

A:Pantodac is the brand name of a medicine called pantoprazole manufactured by Cadila Healthcare Ltd, one of the top 10 Indian companies. Panpure is also a brand name that contains exactly the same medicine i.e. pantoprazole marketed by a company called Emcure. There is no good reason to change the brand. You could continue the Pantodac brand that you have been taking in the past.
