A:Yes, you can be evaluated for liver donation. I see no reason why you cannot donate. The risks for donation are approximately 1 in 200 and in many centres there has been no donor death. As far as Vanderbilt is concerned, I am not aware that they have an active living related adult-to-adult liver transplant programme. You could come to India for transplantation. The cost of living related liver transplantation in India is 45 000 US dollars.
