alopecia areata

Q: I am 28yr man. Earlier I have not observed, now I am seeing at two places (cirles) on my beard I lost hair. Now those two places are looking as white spots. I am afraid that those spots may increase also. No itching, but no hairs in that two spots. They are very small spots. (One is around 1cm dia, other one is around 0.5cm diameter). Please suggest me some thing to prevent it to expand further and to get back hair in those two spots.

A:Round patches with loss of hair are commonly seen in alopecia areata, dermatophyte infection and in Hansens disease. Loss of colour is not afeature of the first two condition. Treatment for all of them is specificand different. You are advised to consult a Dermatologist and then take treatment.
