Q. How effective is quadricep tendon lengthening by VY plasty method? What is the success rate if it is done on a 30 years old patient?

A.  The Surgical procedure will depend on the causative factor of the stiff knee, but, if the patient is 30 years, success rate is very good. At the same time, recovery rate depends on the post operative physiotherapy regime too which the patient should be ready to give time. The range of motion achieved following Surgery should be maintained and improved or else adhesions have a tendency to reform.
