Does warm water with honey and cinnamon help losing fat?

Q. I am 23 years old. I have gained upto 8 to 10 kgs in the last 4 months. Off late I have started to workout in the gym. My waist size was 30 inches and now it is 34. As per my mother's advice I have started to drink a glass of warm water with the mixture of 1 table spoon of both honey and cinnamon powder, twice a day. She tells me that this will surely help to burn the fat and I have also read the same in a health magazine. Is this is a good method to burn the fat? I am also changing my eating habits. The health magazine also tells that by doing this a person can lose upto 4 kgs in a month. Is it safe for me to do this? Are there any other methods to burn the fat? I think I should atleast lose 5 to 6 kgs. Please advise me as how to burn the fat.

A.  Drinking warm water with honey and lime will help flush out the toxins from the body. I am afraid this will not help you achieve your aim. To burn the fats, you have to exercise and probably incorporate a style that gives you ample space to move about at frequent intervals rather than a couch potato style. To burn the fats you can take a brisk walk for 45 minutes in the morning and a second session of 20 minutes of jogging in the evening. Aim at a loss of 2 kgs per month. More than that would be harmful. If you want to burn the fats, you have to consume less calories and burn more calories by exercising. You will also have to be on a low calorie diet restricting high-fat milk and its products like mava, cheese, paneer, red meats, organ meats, shellfish and egg yolk. Remember to relax too. Too much of stress is not good. For the diet and exercises to work for you, relaxation is a must.
