What precautions should be taken for a paralytic patient ?

Q: My 63 years old mother suffered from a serious brain haemorrhage three and a half years back. She is paralysed on her left side since then. She is kept under the care of a competent physician and a physiotherapist but there is no great improvement in her condition. We have also consulted a number of medical experts and they have opined that any radical improvement is not possible at this stage. She has a history of hypertension and some minor stomach disorders. Three and a half years back, she was detected with a hematoma in the right cerebral hemisphere. After a month of intensive treatment, she was discharged from the hospital. Presently, she is under medical care at home and is undergoing daily physiotherapy. When will she be all right? What precautions should be taken?
