How to treat cavities in my teeth?

Q: I am female 20 years old and married 2 years ago. At the age of 13 I had 4 cavities in my teeth. One tooth was removed due to constant pain and the other three were filled. For the next 2 years temporary filling had been done in these 3 teeth. At the age of 19 one of the filling came out and we consulted doctor in Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. The doctor found some more cavities in other teeth and they were filled up too except for one because he said that the tooth should be filled later and if on the date of filling there is pain in the tooth, he will remove it... is this practice correct? Lastly, I would like to know if there is any problem if we have 4-6 cavities/decay? Please suggest the proper treatment and a better doctor/hospital in Delhi. Shall I keep getting these cavities filled? If yes, please let me know the frequency of filling and check up.

A:Cavities are a bacterial infection. If present, get them filled. Instead of getting teeth removed try and get root canal treatmen done. There are lots of good hospitals. You can go to any of them.
