A.  The commonest reason for protein in the urine in 2 year old child is what is called minimal change disease. The kidney's filter called glomerulous develops increased porosity and allows prteins esp albumin to be filtered. This condition responds to a course of steroids. Children usually grow out of this disease. You should see a pediatrician or a nephrologist close to your place for management.
