Why do my eyes feel tired?
Answered by : Dr M S Ravindra
Consultant Ophthalmologist, Karthik Netralaya, Bangalore
Q. I am a 32 years old man who wants to get an eye surgery done to remove spectacles. My eye power is -3.25 and -3.50. I am a computer professional and have to work on the computer day long. Due to this my eyes become red. Though I wash my eyes at regular intervals but my eyes still feel tired.
A.  Cold packs on the eye once in a way help. After working on computer for 1 hour, take a break for about 5 to 10 minutes. Avoid air-conditioner (AC) if you can, or at least increase the humidity in your surroundings. Use preservative free lubricants. You could consider EPILASIK, to permanently get rid of your powers. It is better than Lasik for your kind of problems.

Please take a break for short interval say after half an hour. There is an eye drop called Trikul, it is Ayurveda medicine but very effective. It cost around rs. 35 or Rs. 40. Use this eye drop for three to four times daily, particularly at bed time. It will definitly solve your problem. I was also suffering from this same problem. But now a days its fine because of Triikul
