Can I go for laser operation for nearsightedness?

Q: I am a 22 years old woman suffering from nearsightedness. I am planning to get a laser operation done. The power of my left eye is -3.75 and my right eye’s power is -4. Is it advisable?

A:Lasik can be done for the given power of glasses. You need to undergo a detailed eye evaluation including corneal topography, which will tell us your corneal thickness. If your corneal thickness is adequate and topography is normal, you can go ahead with Lasik. Besides that, your power has to be stable for the last one year.
