Can I lead a normal sexual life with PID?

Q. I am 28 years old woman suffering from pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) with swelling in the uterus. Can I have sex with my husband?
A.  This may give you pain in case of active phase of disease. However, if you are under treatment, then penetration with condom is fine provided you are not in discomfort.
