A six months old child should be able to look around, recognise and interact with his parents, hear and vocalise. He should be able to reach out for an object within his reach and transfer it from one hand to another. He should have a good head control and when placed on a couch on hid abdomen, he should be able to lift his head and chest and even roll over on his back. If you feel your child's development does not appear to be commensurate with his age, I would suggest that you have him evaluated by a pediatrician.
