Q. I am a 37 years old male with the problem of slip disc and back pain for the last four years. Is it safe for me to cycle?

A.  Cycling is not advisable for a patient suffering from disc prolapse (slip disc) or disc degeneration causing back pain. It increases the intradiscal pressure and can aggravate the condition.
