Should I take Celadrin for my painful leg?

Q: I shall be grateful if the right dosage of Celadrin is intimated at the earliest. I am 40 years old and suffer from acute leg/knee pain. I take calcium supplements and Indomethacin at present. I have also been prescribed Osteophos 70 mg once a week. Should I take Glucosamine along with Celadrin? If yes, what is the dosage for Glucosamine?

A:Celadrin is not a medicine but a nutritional supplement. Such products are not evaluated by the government regulatory authorities such as US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA), British MHRA, Australian TGA, Indian drug controller, etc. for their safety and efficacy. Hence I am unable to comment on this product. Glucosamine: Recent research shows that it is not effective in relief of joint pain.
