I am allergic to Penicillin drugs, what can I use in case of fever?

Q: I am allergic to Paracetamol, Ampicillin, Erytrhomycin, Cifran, Norflox and Amoxycillin. But I am not allergic to Penicillin. When I had goatskin rash and allergy towards above medicines, I was put on Penicillin and Penidure. It gave a lot of relief. But when I had fever, I didn't get any medicine to subside it. Please advise.

A:Allergy to paracetamol is quite rare. Basically, ampicillin and amoxycillin are also broad-spectrum penicillins; hence a person being allergic to ampicillin but not to penicillin is also uncommon. In any case for fever or pain you can take either aspirin (such as Disprin) or ibuprofen (such as Brufen).
