Am I at a risk of breast cancer?

Q: I am a 26 years old female. I had a lump in my right breast that was noticed during my first pregnancy about two and a half years back but it disappeared after breastfeeding. The lump recurred last year. My radiologist report shows normal glandular breast parenchyma echo pattern bilaterally. There is a small oval hypoechoic mass in the subcutaneous part of the right breast, which measure 31 x 17 mm, with no posterior acoustic enhancement and with a smooth out line (a lymph node). There are no other lesions in the other parts of both the breasts. There is no calcification observed in both breasts. The pectoralis muscles and the axillae are also normal bilaterally. No lymphadenopathy seen in both axillae. Am I at a risk of breast cancer? My doctor prescribed an anti-biotic (500 mg) thrice daily, vitamin C, B complex and a ferrous blood capsules.

A:The description of this breast lump suggests a non-cancerous problem. Serial evaluation with a breast ultrasound after three months and yearly thereafter will confirm this.
