Q. Following is the details of my Semen Analysis. I was taking Paternia tablet once daily for past 40 days for motility. The Pelvis scan has been taken for my wife and every thing is normal. But still nothing is working. Kindly advice whether Motility 30% is enough to make pregnant or not. 1) Volume of ejaculation - 2.5 ml 2) Sperm count - 68 Million Initial Motility a) Active - 30% b) Sluggish - 15% c) Non-motile - 55% After 1 hour a) Active - 20% b) Sluggish - 15% c) Non-motile - 65%

A.  Your sperm count is good. A good sperm count with poor motility on one semen analysis needs confirmation by another semen analysis after a gap of 2 to 4 weeks. The most common investigations needed are doppler examination of scrotum for varicocoele, investigating for infections or inflammation in the sperm passage organs and excluding the presence of antisperm antibodies which are capable of killing your sperms. You should consult a Urologist who would organise all these investigations and would be able to guide you to future course of action.
