Lbs is the short form for a pound. The pound is a unit of weight. 1 pound is usually equal to 0.45 kg. therefore 1 kilo is equal to 2.2lbs.
As far as the beef goes, it is what we call a Class 1 protein, to give you all the essential amino acids. Class 1 protein, can be obtained from mostly non-vegetarian products. In your case, since you are a vegetarian, go with milk or a milk product like curd, cheese, paneer, etc., on that day. Do not substitute that for sprouts or dals.
