Dr. K J Choudhury is an anaesthesiologist with special interest in Pain Management since over 30 years. His early professional period was spent at Safdarjung Hospital and AIIMS. He spent 10 years at Lagos University before returning back to India. He is associated with VIMHANS from its inception and is responsible for setting up of department of neuroanestheiology and critical care and later at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital. He has been running pain service all along his professional/academic career.

He is committed to relieving pain of people, individually and through association with other like minded pain physicians. He is providing pain relief to everyone, irrespective of their ability to pay, through our social organizations. He has conducted nearly 50 public awareness programmes, CME for physicians and free camps through Samvedana Trust in last 3 years.

After doing his M.B.B.S in 1970 from Berhampur University, India, he did M.D. (Anaesthesia) from the Delhi University, India. He then did M.N.A.M.S (Anaesthesiology) from National Board of Examinations, India. He has also Ph.D (Medicina Alternativa) from International University (Srilanka) and F.W.A.C.S West African College of Surgeons.
