Dr Debashish Chowdhury is currently working as Professor of Neurology at G.B.Pant Hospital, New Delhi. He had his medical training (MBBS) from Maulana Azad Medical College and after his graduation has acquired higher specialization degrees including DTCD (Diploma in Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases) from V.P. Chest Institute and MD in Internal Medicine from Maulana Azad Medical College and DM in Neurology from Maulana Azad Medical College and G.B Pant Hospital.
He is the recipient of 'R Vishwanathan Award' of Delhi University (for topping in the DTCD exam) and 'Mohan Lal Nayyar Award' of Maulana Azad Medial College for being the Best Senior Resident for the year 1995. He has also received prestigious Commonwealth Fellowship and has been trained in UK (Edinburgh) in Stroke Medicine. He also undertook summer school training in Headache and Related Disorders from Trinity College, Cambridge, UK.
Dr Chowdhury’s special interest lies in Stroke and Headache Disorders. He is also deeply interested in highlighting and spreading the health awareness concepts for lay public.
