Prof. Dinesh Kumar Dhanwal has done his MD in internal medicine and DM in endocrinology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. At present he is Prof. of Medicine and Head of Endocrinology at Maulana Azad Medical College and associted Lok Nayak and G.B.Pant Hospitals. At Maulana Azad Medical College, he is involved in teaching, research and patient care. He has been a recipient of the distinguished Young Investigator Award from Japanese Nuclear Medicine Society for his work on Grave's Disease. He is also a recipeient of AV Gandhi award for excellence in Endocrinology in year 2003. He has worked in leading hospitals in Sharjah and UAE. Presently he is involved in research on metabilic bone disease in thyrotoxicosis and a few global clinical trials in Diabetes Mellitus. His main areas of interest are diabetes in youth, Metabolic bone disorders and Grave's Disease.
