Dr. Suneet Sood passed his MBBS from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, in 1977, and later completed his postgraduation in Surgery from the same institution. Subsequently he worked in the Endocrine Surgery and Gastrointestinal Surgery units at the AIIMS, before joining the University College of Medical Sciences as a Consultant in General Surgery.

In 1997 he joined the Himalayan Institute, Dehradun, as a Professor in Surgery, and started his own surgical practice in East Delhi and NOIDA in 1999. At present he is a Senior Consultant at Metro Multispecialty

Hospital, NOIDA, and at Dharamshila Cancer Hospital, Delhi. Dr Sood has published several papers in national and international journals.

He is particularly keen on writing, and has co-authored a book titled Surgical Diseases in Tropical Countries. Medical ethics is another area of special interest.
